Aloha Toronto definitely made some history in Toronto !!

Aloha Toronto is an event that took place August 24 - 26 at Woodbine beach in Toronto, Ontario. This was a surf event organized by Surfer's Healing to reach out kids with autism. Pro surfers such as Izzy Paskowitz and Garret Mcnamara made their way to Toronto this past weekend together with a large team of surfers and volunteers to make this event happen!

The kids had an amazing time during these 3 days between playing under the sun at the beach and getting to surf some small waves in the lake. All the kids had huge smiles on their faces. Those smiles were more than enough to understand that surfing did make a huge impact in their life's. Even a close friend of myself had her nephew join the event and he was just so happy of being in the water, surfing and playing with the waves.

Aloha Toronto was an event that did not only change these kids life's and that of their parents but it also changed my life as well. Surfing is an activity that has a lot of power and can fill people's soul in an instant. It doesn't matter where are you from or what kind of problems you have but being in the water and surfing can definitely make you feel better and see the world from a different point of view.

At the event there were several companies of SUP and Surf showing their products and services to the public. This was a complete surf show with Hawaiian dancers and Luau's at the end of the day. The turnout for Aloha Toronto was amazing as the beach was buzzing full with beach goers and people interested in the surf scene.

Thanks again to the organizers of Aloha Toronto and Surfer's Healing for putting this amazing event together and hope they are coming back next year! So make sure you have some room in your schedule for Aloha Toronto 2013!!!
