5th The Cove Beach Clean Up 2013

5th`The Cove`- Beach Clean Up 2013

Sunday June 02, 2013

@ Bluffers Park in Scarborough (In front of the surf spot of `The Cove`)

Follow this link for exact location http://g.co/maps/b932f

The event will start at 10am & the 'beach clean up' will begin at 11am.

Its impossible to forecast surf conditions for those dates with so much time in between. Stay tuned on this forum or our Facebook Page GreatLakesSurfAdventures for further developments in case easterly winds approach on that date and we get surf. Plans might change if this is the case.

Come and join us this Sunday, June 02, 2013 at 5th `The Cove`- Beach Clean up! The event is open to everyone. Come and spend a good time with friends and family while giving back to mother nature as well. Help us clean the beach that provides an enjoyable place to the neighboring community and surfers as well!

Kids and parents will be able to sell lemonade and help out during the Clean Up. There will also be a draw to give away 2 baskets with products from our different Sponsors such as Surf Dreams Canada, ChickSticks and ESA Great Lakes East. We will also have a cute little basket to be given to one of the beautiful women who join us during this event. There is something for every single one in the family so don't stay home and join us to celebrate this great day!

  2. Hey Antonio
Unfortunately I can't make it to the clean up this time. I REALLY want to come to the next one though. I was involved with the Surfrider foundation when I was in BC and participated in several of these which was a rewarding experience. Does Surfrider know about your efforts? Im sure they would be willing to assist if needed.
Also, the World Wildlife Federation (WWF) might be another charity that may assist with sponsorship........perhaps you might want to talk to my wife who works there, her name is Liz at hendriks.elizabeth@gmail.com. Im happy to plan/assist the next one with you. And also come get some waves!
    Take care
    Pat
